Early Help
Early Help Offer
As a school, we pride ourselves in our relationships with families and aim to support parents/carers and their children the best we can. Early intervention is crucial and with school and home working together effectively, we can help to reduce/eliminate any barriers that might be impacting negatively on our families lives.
What is Early Help?
Early Help means providing help for children and their families as soon as any problems may arise especially when they may have a negative impact on a child. A family may have difficulties at any time in their lives for many different reasons.
As a school we may be able to signpost you to a range of services beyond the educational setting in which you can seek help for yourself. We are also able to make referrals to targeted services when a need for a service is identified. As a school we aim to identify when support maybe needed early to ensure that the appropriate plans are put into place. For us to do this we require parents/carers to work with us and other professionals if necessary. When an emerging need has been identified parents/carers could be offered to engage in an Early Help Assessment (EHA). For more information please speak to Lianne Jackson, headteacher.
